Our Services

Evaluation

Before beginning any training at K-9 Connection, your dog needs to be evaluated. This will help us determine your dog’s personality, social development, and behavioral patterns and problems. During the evaluation we will learn what your goals are for you and your dog. With this information we will be able to design a training program to best accommodate you and your dog.

During the evaluation we will also address any questions you may have about your dog’s training or behavior. We will also show you a demonstration of a trained dog to help you visualize all K-9 Connection has to offer.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are designed for owners who have the time and patience to learn and teach their dogs at the same time. Private lessons are also ideal for pets who work better while in their home environment.

During each lesson we will teach you how to train your dog on different obedience commands; we will also address unwanted behaviors. Ideally, your lessons will be scheduled once a week or every other week. In order for private lessons to be effective, you will need to work with your dog at least 2-3 times per day, for 20 minute periods.

Residency Programs

Residency programs are designed for owners who lack the time and patience to complete the private lessons. These programs allow dogs to learn at an accelerated pace and help owners reinforce commands and good behavior. These programs works especially well with dogs who are hyperactive or possess complicated behavior problems or aggressive tendencies.

Upon completing a residency program, you will be provided with follow-up training lessons to teach you how to communicate with your dog and handle his or her new behaviors. In order for any residency training program to be successful, you must commit to incorporating your dog’s new behavior into everyday life.

Behavioral Counseling

Behavioral counseling is designed for owners who generally have a well-behaved pet but would like to address some specific problem, such as house breaking, chewing, jumping up, etc.
